Download Blockwick 2

Updated: Mar 26, 2020

About This Game Blockwick is a jumbled world full of colorful blocks. Connect all same-colored blocks on the board. Blue with blue, red with red, and so on. Don’t worry about the white crates though—they just get in the way. If you get stuck on a puzzle, don’t fret. Just look for the hidden moon pearl. Finding the moon pearl in a puzzle will allow you to open the next puzzle. The further you progress the more special blocks you’ll meet. Some are bolted down and are permanently stuck. Some blocks are asleep and can’t move until they’re woken up (set down a same-colored block next to it to wake it up). Entangled blocks are connected together by quantum forces—when one moves so do the others. Blocks that are entangled share the same symbol. Eventually you’ll meet even more devious blocks. Sticky blocks are gooey and will stick to other blocks. You can't pick them up directly; they can only be pushed and pulled around with other blocks and crates. Caterpillar blocks are linked to each other like a train; they can only be moved with the head or the tail. Hypno blocks don’t need to be connected to solve a puzzle, but they’ll cause a lot of pain. The hypno puts any colored block to sleep if you set one down right next to it. Finally, flip blocks have six sides. When you move them, they flip to a different side, exposing a new color. Oh, did you notice the strange glyphs on the ground? Each puzzle has three. Try to cover them all up with groups of linked blocks to master the puzzle. It’ll be more tricky, but it’s good for your brain. That’s about it. Have fun! – Kieffer Bros. 6d5b4406ea Title: Blockwick 2Genre: Casual, IndieDeveloper:Kieffer Bros.Publisher:Kieffer Bros.Release Date: 25 Jun, 2015 Download Blockwick 2 really cute.... Probably my favourite puzzle game. To me, everything about it is perfect -- the graphics, the sounds, the music, the UI, the feel, the difficulty, the variety. Comes with a set of easy puzzles that you can finish in one sitting (or let your kid play them), and a set of harder ones that will last you a while, plus the optional added challenges of finding all the moon pearls and illuminating (covering) all the symbols.. TL;DR at the bottom of the reviewBlockwick 2 is a puzzle game with simple but aesthetically pleasing visuals where you move around various blocks to try to connect blocks that are alike in color. There are various worlds/chapters/sections, with new types of blocks introduced every so often to make the puzzles more difficult to solve.I found, overall, that this is a challenging but entertaining puzzle game! I really enjoyed the concept and the new mechanics as they were introduced. The goals and instructions are straightforward, making it easy to see what you can do and how you can do it, but harder to actually get the blocks to the solution right away. This forces you to really think spatially to find the solution. I personally found that the difficulty wasn't too high. It didn't gradually increase and instead I found myself going through most of the puzzles with relative ease with one random puzzle every once in a while that would spike in difficulty, leaving me struggling to find the solution for a good long while (note that I was going for trying to illuminate each level the first time through, which means not just having all the same-color blocks touch, but also covering all the runes). It's hard to say whether that was how the game was intented to be or if there were just certain types of puzzles that I found more difficult than others. Either way, the game kept me entertained and itching to try and complete a much as I could.I completed the game 100% in about 32 hours. The ambiant music was lovely to listen to, as it wasn't obnoxious or abrasive. However, I found that I was eventually becoming tired of the repetitive music after playing for hours and hours at a time. There are options to turn off the music and sound effects, so I ended up listening to my own music past that point. Other than those two options there is only a button to change the game from windowed mode to fullscreen. These few options work just fine for this game because there isn't really anything else that needs to be messed with. The game also has the original Blockwick "Basics," which offers even more puzzles. I felt that "Basics" was much easier so I often switched and worked on some of those puzzles when I was stuck on a more difficult one in the other section.TL;DR Blockwick 2 is a challenging but enjoyable puzzle game with nice visuals and music that is definitely a great purchase for those interested in logical/spatial puzzle games! With both Blockwick "Basics" and Blockwick 2 in this game, there are 320+ puzzles!. This game is quite simple to learn but hard to master. I have greatly enjoyed this game, but it is quite mentally taxing in later levels. Still, there is a fairly simple mechanic which for a little extra effort allows you to skip too difficult levels, which you can go back to at your leisure.. Excellent puzzle game, it's trully a hidden gem.. Great puzzle game for relax. Good puzzle game. A brilliant execution of the block-pushing puzzle genre. STRONGLY recommend if you like that kind of puzzle.I never played the (mobile only?) original, so the title and developer were unfamiliar to me, and I don't know exactly which features were already present in that first entry. The premise is fairly simple: join like-colored blocks together in contiguous groups (white blocks are the neutral exception). This game does something that many puzzle games (at least on Steam) often overlook: offering several different puzzle gimmicks, easing you into them, and giving you lots of different use cases for each one without getting repetitive. Each specialty block concept has a set of 16 stages dedicated to exploring how that block can function. Once you've mastered a specialty block, that block type might make an appearance in a later zone, so you'll get to see how it interacts with (or obstructs) your current block type. Some stages feature huge blocks that are difficult to maneuver; others are claustrophic - loaded up with so many blocks that there's very little room to move; others are partitioned into multiple rooms that don't connect but must function together.Puzzles are unlocked in sequence, but the devs have mercifully included, in every level, a hidden pearl that will allow you to skip to the next puzzle if you get stuck (though even if you don't get stuck, you might want to seek them out anyway). A puzzle is considered "solved" once all the colors are grouped, but each puzzle also has a "true" solution which requires solving the puzzle while all 3 of the floor's glyph spaces are occupied by a colored block. This is a nice added challenge for the compulsive completionists. The "Basics" level pack has also been added in, bringing an additional 144 puzzles. Basics puzzles are less complex and don't make use of all the specialty block types (which is fine!), but they do have glyphs and pearls. The visual style is clean and bright. The art isn't cluttered, so you're able to keep your focus on the blocks. The backgrounds are just slightly tinted, and you can differentiate between the white blocks and the "island" walls. The music is pleasant and ambient but not boring. There's also a surprising number of tracks for this type of game.Note: I don't know if this game (as of this writing) will be accessible to colorblind players. I haven't seen any colorblindness options in the menu, and differentiating color is an absolutely integral part of every puzzle. Many of the colors appear to be roughly similar in value, so they might not be very distinguishable in greyscale.Illumination out of ten.. A pretty good basic puzzle game.Puzzles are well made, sometimes quite hard if you try to fully solve (AKA illuminate) them. The graphics are simple but clean. Nothing spectacular. The interface feels like it's designed for mobile, but that didn't cause any problems. It feels fairly polished, the only bug I found was a fullscreen Linux issue which is fixed in the beta.IMHO, given it's price, 79%.. All I have to say is you get a good mental workout with this game!
